News and events in the McCray Lab

July 1, 2024: The McCray Lab Publishes Our First Paper

After months of work our first manuscript has been accepted for publication in Brain. This paper focuses on outlining the natural history of TRPV4 channelopathies. In it we observe demographic and clinical data from 68 affected patients, to better understand and characterize how these mutations manifest and affect daily life. 

July 18, 2024: A Second Publication!

We are excited to announce that we have had a second manuscript published in Brain! This time research focused on the functional characterization of multiple pathogenic TRPV4 variants, including Cytotoxicity, protein-protein interactions, and expression level.

September 15, 2023: The McCray lab conducts first experiment

July 17, 2023: Linh Vo joins the lab as a postdoctoral fellow

Linh recently defended her PhD thesis at Wayne State and has a background in studying human disease in cellular models. 

July 1, 2023: The McCray lab officially opens at the University of Michigan

Brett welcomes Gage Kosmanopoulos, and they get to work setting up the lab.
